Shaw™ Lenses

Standard eyeglasses correct vision in each eye individually, but they often fail to account for how your eyes work together. If you or your child has a significant difference in prescription between the left and right eye, standard lenses can cause images to appear at different sizes in each eye. This creates a conflict in the brain that can lead to eye strain, headaches, poor depth perception, or even the suppression of the weaker eye (lazy eye).

Shaw™ Lenses are designed specifically to solve this problem. By using advanced digital modeling to control lens curvature and thickness, Shaw™ Lenses equalize the image size delivered to each eye. This removes the strain from the brain, allowing both eyes to lock on to the same target and work together as a comfortable, synchronized team.

Who is a candidate for Shaw™ Lenses?

Shaw™ Lenses are often the best solution if you or your child experience:

  • Uneven Prescriptions: A significant difference in vision prescription between the left and right eye (Anisometropia).
  • Lazy Eye (Amblyopia): Especially if standard glasses or patching haven't fully resolved the issue.
  • Unexplained Eye Strain: Headaches, dizziness, or fatigue after reading, despite having a "current" prescription.
  • Poor Depth Perception: Difficulty catching balls, parking a car, or seeing 3D movies correctly.
  • Double Vision: Occasional shadowing or ghosting of images, particularly when tired.
  • Image Sizing Issues: A sensation that objects look larger or smaller out of one eye compared to the other.
